A former Ohio State star will be getting another shot at the NFL.

The Cleveland Browns announced that they have signed former Buckeyes defensive tackle Tracy Sprinkle. The team made room for the lineman by waiving defensive back Jermaine Ponder.

Sprinkle was a member of the 2018 NFL Draft class, but went undrafted. He was signed last year by the Carolina Panthers but was waived as the franchise made final roster cuts. Now, the 6-foot-3, 285-pound tackle will get a second chance in his home state.

According to a release from the Browns, Sprinkle played for the Atlanta Legends in the Alliance of American Football league and participated with the Kansas City Chiefs during rookie minicamp.

Sprinkle’s final season at Ohio State came in 2017. He registered 16 tackles, three for loss and one pass break-up that year. He tallied 20 total stops while with the Buckeyes.
