Former Ohio State LB signs extension with New England Patriots

Former Ohio State LB Raekwon McMillan won’t be playing in 2023, but he’s still a priority in New England. McMillan has signed an extension with the Patriots.
It’s a 1-year extension for McMillan, keeping him in New England for the 2024 season.
The Patriots have signed LB Raekwon McMillan to a 1-year extension through 2024 worth up to $2.245M.
McMillan is out for the season due to injury, but this keeps him in the fold for 2024. This marks the second time they have extended McMillan for a year after he landed on IR.

McMillan has battled with the injury bug throughout his career. He missed his rookie season with the Miami Dolphins in 2017 due to a torn ACL.
In August 2021, McMillan suffered a torn ACL again, this time in New England practice. McMillan returned in 2022, recording 35 tackles, including 1 sack, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown with the Patriots.
In his NFL career, McMillan has played in 61 regular-season games, making 33 starts. He has recorded 239 tackles.
