Young announced the news from his Twitter account with a video on Thursday afternoon. Here’s what he said to the Ohio State fans:

“The game of basketball has brought me so much joy in my life, and I’m forever thankful for what it has for me,” said Young. “I’ve decided the time has come to hang ’em up and start something new. Excited for a new chapter in my life.
