Former Ohio State player and coach Earl Bruce is dealing with early stages of Alzheimer’s

There is some sad news coming out of Ohio State on Friday.

According to multiple reports, former Buckeye player and head coach Earl Bruce is dealing with the early stages of Alzheimer’s.

Bruce was a running back for the Scarlet and Gray’s freshman team back in 1951. However, a torn meniscus that ended his playing career. He returned to Ohio State as an assistant under Woody Hayes from 1966-71.

After Hayes was fired, Bruce replaced him as head coach. He was the head man from 1979 to 1987, amounting a 81-26-1 record.
