According to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, his release comes with an injury settlement.
The Giants signed Weber back in July, but he injured his hip flexor last week and was placed on injured reserve.
The Giants signed TE Tommy Stevens and WR Andy Jones.
Jones has been with the Cowboys, Texans, Lions, Dolphins and 49ers. Stevens was a Misssissippi State QB who was drafted by the Saints last year and converted to TE.
The Giants also placed RB Mike Weber (hip flexor) on IR.

Weber has yet to make an NFL carry after being selected in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
He was excellent over three seasons with Ohio State, totaling 2,767 yards and 24 touchdowns with the Buckeyes. He recorded 96 yards on 15 carries in his last career collegiate game — a Rose Bowl victory over Washington on Jan. 1, 2019.
