Former Penn State wide receivers coach David Corley Jr. is heading back to Pennsylvania.

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they have added Corley to the staff for the 2022 NFL season. He will serve as the assistant quarterbacks coach. Corley most recently worked at Richmond, where he was the running backs coach for the FCS program.

Corley was the wide receivers coach at Penn State in 2018. He spent just one season on James Franklin’s staff before the two sides decided to part ways.

After his stop in State College, Corley worked as an intern with the Houston Texans and was the wide receivers coach at South Carolina State. He’s also had previous experience at UConn, William & Mary and Army.

The Steelers finished the 2021 NFL season with a 9-7-1 record and fell in the Wild Card round of the AFC Playoffs.
