Las Vegas Raiders defensive lineman Carl Nassib made history Monday, sharing with the world that he is gay.
The former Penn State star shared a video of his announcement on social media. Nassib shared out that he is a private person and is not seeking attention but felt the time was right to share who he is with the world.
“I just wanted to take a quick moment to say that I’m gay,” said Nassib. “I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now but I finally feel comfortable getting it off my chest.
“I really have the best life. I have the best family, friends, and job a guy could ask for…I hope that one day videos like this and the whole coming out process just aren’t necessary.”
