Micah Parsons enjoyed an outstanding rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys and he’s earning some major accolades because of it.
This week, the Pro Football Writers of America voted Parsons the NFL’s Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year after playing incredibly well in his first season.
As a rookie, Parsons started in all 16 regular season games for the Cowboys. He racked up 79 total tackles on the year, 59 of which were solo stops. He also totaled 13 sacks and forced 3 fumbles.

Dallas ended the year with a 12-5 record and earned a trip to the NFL playoffs.
Parsons was selected with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Cowboys out of Penn State. In addition to the major PFWA honors, Parsons was also a Pro Bowl selection and a first-team All-Pro pick.
Not a bad way for Parsons to kickstart his career at the NFL level.
