John Donovan was the offensive coordinator at Penn State when he was brought on in 2014 and then got fired in November, 2015.
His time in Happy Valley was short lived. But from 2016-19, Donovan moved on to become the Offensive Assistant for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now for 2020, the former Nittany Lions assistant will be the offensive coordinator at Washington, getting a second try at the job, but this time, in the Pac-12:
Washington announces it has hired former Penn State and Vanderbilt assistant John Donovan as its offensive coordinator. He had spent the last four years with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Prior to his time at Penn State, Donovan was the OC at Vanderbilt from 2011-13 and an assistant at Maryland coaching either running backs, quarterbacks or serving as a recruiting coordinator from 2001-10.
