McSorley was apparently picking up a box before the Ravens first preseason game and “wrenched” his back, according to Harbaugh.

McSorley being out means that the Ravens will have to rely on Tyler Huntley for a lot of preseason snaps as they likely won’t want to risk Lamar Jackson playing a lot due to injury. They also may want a look at 4th stringer Kenji Bahar.
Before the injury was announced, McSorley did play in the Ravens preseason opener and went 11-for-18 with 86 yards passing and 1 interception. His longest pass went for 17 yards and his QBR was 49.8.
During the Ravens-Steelers game in Pittsburgh last season, McSorley had his first touchdown pass in the NFL as it went for 70 yards. He also finished the season with 90 yards passing on 3-for-10 completions.
