From 2016-17, Joe Moorhead was the offensive coordinator at Penn State. He did an admirable job there, which helped lead him to getting the head job at Mississippi State.

He has spent two seasons running the show for the Bulldogs, but on Friday morning, it was confirmed that Moorhead had been fired:

At Mississippi State, Moorhead went 14-12 overall, going 6-7 in 2019. Where will he go next? Will he get another head coaching job right away?

If not, it would be safe to assume that he returns as an offensive coordinator. Again, he was a great one at Penn State.

And, it just so happens that the Nittany Lions just poached Kirk Ciarrocca from Minnesota to become their newest offensive coordinator. This creates a hole at Minnesota.

Could Moorhead come back to the B1G and coach an up-and-coming Golden Gophers offense?

We’re likely to find out sooner rather than later where he lands.
