The 2019 NBA Draft is a little over a month away and analysts are churning out mock drafts while the playoffs are currently in session.
Krysten Peek of Yahoo Sports recently updated her mock draft, projecting what the first round of the NBA Draft would look like on June 20. She included former Indiana star Romeo Langford and former Purdue guard Carsen Edwards in the first round.
They were the only B1G players listed as first-round picks.
Langford is projected to be a lottery pick, going No. 13 overall to the Miami Heat. The 6-foot-6 guard spent one season with the Hoosiers, averaging 16.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He’s been projected as a lottery pick since his high school days.
Edwards is listed just outside the lottery, as Yahoo Sports has the electrifying scorer going No. 16 to the Orlando Magic. Though he’s a bit undersized at 6-foot, Edwards led the B1G in scoring and scorched opponents in the NCAA Tournament last March.
Edwards averaged 24.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game last season.
