Former Purdue receiver Seth Morales is very impressed with sophomore Boilermaker David Bell.
Bell has been on fire of late, and has 321 yards and four touchdowns through Purdue’s first three games.
“I call him Mr. Consistency. He’s smooth. I don’t know if he’s going to blaze by most cornerbacks, but he’s got enough speed. He’s good up in the air when it’s a one-on-one situation,” Morales said. “I think he’s got a ton of upside. I like his ability in and out of routes. He runs great routes. He’s polished as a sophomore which is really crazy. It’s only going to get better for him.”

Being consistent is exactly what Purdue needs out of the receiver position this season. He’s been an excellent fill-in for star receiver Rondale Moore, who hasn’t played this season.
In any event, that’s high praise for Morales. Boilermaker fans will remember him for his game-winning catch against Ohio State in 2000. He caught seven passes for 115 yards in that game, which helped send Purdue to the Rose Bowl.
Purdue lost last week but will have a good chance to move to 3-1 on the season this weekend against Minnesota.
