Former Rutgers defensive back killed in automobile accident

Sad news to share as Johnathan Aiken has reportedly been killed in an automobile accident. This news was first reported by ABC Local 10 News.

Aiken was the first Rutgers player to ever win Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. He played at defensive back for the team from 2011 to 2014.

In his three seasons playing for Rutgers, Aiken registered 76 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble and one passed defense.

I don’t do social media RIP but my brother Johnathan Aiken passed this morning. I gave my all to help him in every situation. when many forgot about him knowing he was a foster child with no family. I gave my time and love. Family I feel like I let you down
