Oregon State head coach Gary Andersen is out as head coach in Corvallis.

According to multiple reports, Anderson and Oregon State decided to “mutually part” after the Beavers started the season 1-5. OSU was just 7-23 in three seasons under Andersen.

Here was the statement released by Oregon State University, as reported by Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports:

Andersen coached at Wisconsin in 2013 and 2014, piling up a 19-7 record  in two seasons and claiming a B1G West title in 2014. After getting clobbered 59-0 by Ohio State in the B1G Championship Game, Andersen headed West to take the Oregon State job.

Before arriving in Madison, Andersen spent four seasons at Utah State and posted a 26-24 record. His 2012 Aggies team went 11-2 and beat Toledo in the Idaho Potato Bowl.

Andersen’s career record as a head coach is 56-61. He went 1-2 in  bowl games.
