Scott Tolzien will start for just the fourth time in his NFL career when the first week of the NFL season rolls around.

The Indianapolis Colts announced that starting QB Andrew Luck will not play on opening weekend and Tolzien will get the nod. The news was announced on Monday.

Tolzien was undrafted out of Wisconsin in 2011, and hasn’t seen much playing time over the last six seasons. He’s played in just nine games, making four starts. He’s completed 78-of-127 passes for 926 yards with two touchdowns and seven interceptions.

He spent three seasons in Green Bay (2013-2015) before joining the Colts last fall.

Indianapolis opens its season on Sunday, Sept. 10 on the road against the Los Angeles Rams. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 pm.
