Former Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon was back with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news via social media.

After releasing Gordon on Tuesday, the Ravens ended up signing Gordon to the practice squad. Tuesday was the deadline for all NFL teams to cut their roster numbers down to 53 players.

Gordon signed with the team back in July. It’s not an uncommon move for teams to release a player to reach 53 and then quickly sign him back to the practice squad.

Since being drafted out of Wisconsin in 2015, Gordon has played for a number of teams in the NFL. Gordon has played for the San Diego/ Los Angeles Chargers (2015-2019), Denver Broncos (2020-2022), and Kansas City Chiefs (2022).

Gordon didn’t see the field last season for Kansas City, as he spent the entire year on the practice squad.

Gordon did receive a Super Bowl ring after the Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles, however.
