On Sunday, the Football Writers Association of American and the National Football Foundation released their weekly Super 16 poll. Just like last week, the B1G was well-represented in the rankings.
Four teams from the conference were ranked in Sunday’s poll, all in the top-12. Here is how the rankings shook out after Week 5 of the college football season:
- Alabama
- Ohio State
- Clemson
- Michigan
- Houston
- Washington
- Louisville
- Texas A&M
- Tennessee
- Miami (FL)
- Wisconsin
- Nebraska
- Baylor
- Stanford
- Ole Miss
- Arkansas
Ohio State and Michigan are in the same spots they were a week ago while Nebraska jumped up three spots. Wisconsin, the lone conference team to drop, fell from No. 8 to No. 11.
After five weeks of the season, it’s a pretty good sign that the B1G controls one-third of the FWAA-NFF’s top-12 rankings.
