The current College Football Playoff picks are in from the five-man Big Noon Kickoff team at FOX College Football.
Urban Meyer, along with Reggie Bush, Brady Quinn, Matt Leinart, and Rob Stone posted their picks, with all five having no surprise in the top spot: the Clemson Tigers.
From there, Quinn placed Ohio State in the No. 2 spot and Alabama in the No. 3 slot. The four other analysts flipped the pair, with the Crimson Tide in second and the Buckeyes in third. Then it gets interesting.
Leinart, Stone, and Quinn all have Notre Dame coming in fourth. Bush has SEC East powerhouse Georgia getting in as an at-large team, but it was Meyer who made the oddest of picks.
Meyer chose Clemson, Alabama, and Ohio State at first, second, and third respectively, but he chose Florida as his fourth team. As the Gators haven’t played since their loss to Texas A&M a few weeks back, they make a strange choice. Then again, maybe it is just a bit of love for the SEC school that Meyer helped guide to two national championships during his time as a coach.
