The first College Football Playoff rankings won’t come out until Halloween night, but it’s never too early to start making predictions. A few FOX Sports analysts recently updated their picks.
Tuesday, FOX college football analysts Joel Klatt, Dave Wannstedt, Matt Leinart and Robert Smith updated their College Football Playoff predictions after Week 5, and the B1G got a little more love.
Three of the four analysts had a B1G team in the mix, with Wannstedt being the only one not to join the party. Klatt and Leinart chose Penn State (5-0), while Smith thought Michigan had the best chance.

All four had Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma reaching the final four. Rather than a B1G team, Wannstedt chose Washington out of the Pac-12 to secure a bid.
It’ll be interesting to see if Wisconsin or Ohio State works its way back into the mix in the coming weeks.
