Through two-and-a-half quarters, Ohio State didn’t look like a team destined for the College Football Playoff. But by the time the game ended, the 49-21 final score was enough to prove the Buckeyes were still pretty darn good.
Despite the sluggish start, FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd said Ohio State looked every bit as good as advertised. And he’s got no reservations about tabbing the Buckeyes as the top team in the country.

“Ohio State looked like how a No. 1 team looks on the road, facing a conference team and having the burden of being the No. 1 team in the country,” Cowherd said Friday on his show. “By the way, they have the best defensive front seven in college football, a great coach, an experienced quarterback and skill and length and speed everywhere.”
Cowherd has been a fan of the Buckeyes since before the season started, pegging them as his preseason favorite to win the B1G and the national championship.
The Buckeyes have a big challenge again next week, hosting No. 7 Oklahoma in Columbus.
