FOX Sports radio host accuses Brett McMurphy of ‘motivated’ reporting on Ohio State

Author Jeff Snook isn’t the only member of the media publicly calling out the reporting done by Brett McMurphy.
FOX Sports radio host Jonas Knox says the timing of some of McMurphy’s reports has him questioning the Stadium reporter’s objectivity.
“When somebody goes at a story this hard, they become part of the story,” Knox said on his show. “Everything should be taken into account. I like to do deep dives on stuff, not surface takes. Brett McMurphy is a part of this story. Do you find it a little coincidental that every time the other side speaks, Brett McMurphy has a response a couple hours later? The first time Urban Meyer came out and put out a statement and Zach Smith denied the allegations, there was McMurphy right afterwards with a screen shot from Zach Smith’s wife back in the day that he held onto so he could use.”
On multiple occasions, McMurphy has posted photographs and/or text messages following a development in the Urban Meyer situation, such as statements made by Meyer, former assistant coach Zach Smith or the school itself. Friday he published a new report on Stadium revealing Smith had sex toys delivered to his on-campus office, took nude photographs during the team’s visit to the White House and had sex with a subordinate in the coaches office. Knox sees all the reports as “counter-punches” by McMurphy.
More from Knox and former Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn can be heard in the embedded segment below.
