Ah, it’s that time of year. That time when the debate between a four-team playoff and an eight-team field really starts to ignite.
We’ve argued about it ever since the College Football Playoff’s induction. Why on earth would it slow down now?
Following the conclusion of the regular season, FOX Sports play-by-play announcer Tim Brando weighed in on the College Football Playoff, arguing for an eight-team system. Why? His argument lies with Ohio State’s blowout win over Michigan on Saturday.
Brando says that if Ohio State wins the B1G Championship, Georgia upsets Alabama and Oklahoma defeats Texas, it’ll be an impossible situation for the committee to sort out.
The resumés for all three teams would be fairly equal at this point.
