The first College Football Rankings of the year come out tonight at 7:00 ET on ESPN.
Michigan State and Ohio State will be paying attention to where the committee slots them in the initial rankings. FOX analyst Joel Klatt released his top 4 before the CFP committee comes out with its rankings later on this evening.
Here are Joel Klatt’s Top 4 teams:
- Georgia
- Michigan State
- Oklahoma
- Oregon
If I were a committee of one & created playoff today here is what it would look like…Full disclosure, I believe that CFB Playoff should be 4 most DESERVING, thus this is different than rankings

2) @MSU_Football
3) @OU_Football
4) @oregonfootball— Joel Klatt (@joelklatt) November 2, 2021
Fans in the state of Ohio will look at Klatt’s list of his top 4 teams and be disgusted. Neither Ohio State or Cincinnati made his top 4.
Ohio State did lose to Oregon in Week 2 35-28 at home. We will see how the committee weighs that loss tonight. Spartan fans will be elated by Klatt’s rankings as he has them in at No. 2.
No matter what some fanbases will be angrier than others at the 1st rankings of the year.
The CFP rankings will be released Tuesday at 7:00 ET on ESPN.
