Iowa will be without its head coach as the Hawkeyes try to snap a 2-game losing streak vs. Minnesota.

On Friday, the Hawkeyes announced that head coach Fran McCaffery has entered health and safety protocols after testing positive for COVID-19. As a result, McCaffery will be unable to coach Iowa during Sunday’s game against Minnesota.

Iowa previously beat Minnesota 81-71 on the road this season but has been struggling of late. The Hawkeyes are 1-3 in their last four games including back-to-back losses to Purdue and Penn State.

The midweek game at Ohio State was canceled due to weather issues. Now, Iowa will welcome Minnesota to Iowa City Sunday. Tip-off is set for 4:30 pm EST on BTN. Iowa is currently 4-6 in conference play and tied for 9th in the B1G standings.
