Sam Hoiberg’s announcement comes a day after Fred Hoiberg’s other son, Jack, announced he was entering the NCAA transfer portal after spending the last four years at Michigan State. He was a member of the program before the 2017-18 season as a walk-on and was awarded a scholarship before the 2020-21 campaign.
It’s unclear if Jack Hoiberg also plans to head to Nebraska.
Hoiberg just completed his second season as the head coach of the Huskers.
