#FreeChaseYoung: Ohio State students are using a snowstorm to petition NCAA for Young’s return

Ohio State fans believe the NCAA is wrongfully forcing Buckeyes defensive end Chase Young to sit out because of an alleged loan he received from a family friend last year.
That belief from the Buckeyes fans has never been more clear. On Monday night, several students took to an open field on the Ohio State campus in a snowstorm to write into that field using the snow, “Free Chase Young.”
The snow message was posted on Instagram and has since gone viral. Check it out below:
Young reportedly received a loan from a family friend to help pay for his girlfriend’s plane ticket to the Rose Bowl last season. Young supposedly paid back the family friend too.
The star defensive end, who is expected to receive a four-game suspension for this infraction, sat out this past Saturday to due ineligibility concerns. That would count as the first game of his suspension if he does indeed receive one.
The NCAA is expected to release its ruling on Young this week.
