Ohio State added two new official Buckeyes Wednesday.
The tradition of removing the black stripe is alive and well, and two freshmen had the honor of removing their stripes. The first was defensive lineman Mike Hall. Hall was a 4-star recruit and the No. 53 prospect nationally for the class of 2021.
“First off, I just want to thank the o-line for pushing me every day, and shout out to the unit,” said Hall. “Shout out to Coach (Larry) Johnson, go Bucks!”

The other freshman to remove his stripe was defensive back Jakailin Johnson. He was a fellow 4-star prospect and the No. 50 overall prospect nationally.
“I mean, Zone 6 for competing, getting me better every day,” said Johnson. “Shout out BIA for bringing me into the brotherhood, go Bucks!”
