Nebraska will host Indiana in an intriguing interdivisional B1G showdown Saturday. Despite his better judgement, ESPN College GameDay’s Chris ‘Bear’ Fallica included the matchup among his picks in Week 9.
“I vowed never to put Indiana on the board again, but I’m a weak, forgiving soul. Indiana’s an underdog at Nebraska,” Fallica said.
“I don’t think Adrian Martinez is going to play today. I think Indiana’s backup QB situation is better, Peyton Ramsey plays instead of (Michael) Penix. The Hoosiers, if they win today, I think have a shot at 8 wins. But Nebraska, the last time they played, were terrible at Minnesota. I think Nebraska’s got issues today – injuries, suspensions. Give me IU today to go on the road and pull an upset.”
Nebraska is a 2.5-point favorite at home against Indiana. The last time these teams met in 2016, Nebraska edged Indiana, 27-22, but that’s their only matchup in the last 40 years.
The Cornhuskers and Hoosiers will kick off at 3:30 pm ET.
