George Karlaftis is looking for an impact as a rookie defender in the NFL. During Week 1 of the NFL preseason, Karlaftis looked the part in his debut for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Facing the Chicago Bears, Karlaftis generated pressure on a consistent basis. He also registered his first sack after a nifty speed move to the inside that caught his offensive lineman off balance.
When it was all said and done, Karlaftis generated 4 pressures in just 13 pass-rush snaps against the Bears. Karlaftis also finished with a 31% win rate on the afternoon.

Karlaftis joins a defense in Kansas City that features strong defensive linemen in Chris Jones and Frank Clark. After coming off the board as a first-round pick, Karlaftis appears primed for a big season with the Chiefs. He will get a few more chances to get warmed up in the preseason before regular-season action arrives.
