Georgia HS quarterback dies after complications during surgery

Roswell High School (Georgia) quarterback Robbie Roper has died after complications during surgery on Wednesday. Family and school officials confirmed the tragic news on through social media. He was 18.

“Hey guys it’s the Roper family. We just wanted to update everyone on Robbie. Robbie just past,” a statement from the family said. “He was the biggest joy to our family. We are proud of the young man he has become. He will ne missed by his friends and family dearly.”

News regarding Roper’s situation became public on Tuesday night via social media. He suffered from complications while undergoing shoulder surgery in Florida. Roper was put on life support.

 

 

Roper was also a 2022 college football recruit and had received 4 offers during the recruiting process.
