Gerad Parker spent one season in Penn State as part of Ricky Rahne’s offensive staff.
Parker joined the Nittany Lions after spending 2017-18 at Duke. Before that, he spent time in the B1G West with Purdue before the hiring of current head coach Jeff Brohm.
After spending the year as the wide receivers coach for Penn State, Parker is on the move. He landed the offensive coordinator job at West Virginia which will be his first collegiate OC opportunity.
On Saturday morning, Parker thanked head coach James Franklin and the Penn State team and faithful for his time in Happy Valley:
Thanks to Coach Franklin and the players and staff for making me and my family feel at home in Happy Valley!
Excited about this next step in life and what better place to do it than the country roads of #HailWV ready to sing that song! #TrustTheClimb pic.twitter.com/ZkkBfFfo8s— Gerad Parker (@GeradParker1) January 11, 2020
It has definitely been an offseason of re-shuffling the offensive staff since Rahne left to take the head coaching position at Old Dominion. So far, Franklin has been able to fill the vacancies in impressive fashion.
Best of luck to Parker as he moves on to the Big 12!
