Grad transfer WR Samori Toure impressed by team’s work ethic at Nebraska

New Nebraska graduate transfer wide receiver Samori Toure has been impressed with his new team’s work ethic since arriving on campus. The former Montana star told reporters on Monday how much time everyone puts in to improve.
And while that’s certainly a positive sign, Toure also said he was surprised that the Huskers haven’t found more wins over the last three seasons, considering the team’s mindset.

In three seasons under head coach Scott Frost, Nebraska is just 12-20 and has yet to appear in a bowl game. Last year, the Huskers finished the year with a 3-5 record and decided not to participate in the postseason.
Toure is hoping to come in and make an impact quickly in Lincoln. He transferred in from Montana, when he totaled 124 career catches for 1,935 yards and 15 touchdowns over the past two seasons. During the 2019 campaign, Toure hauled in 87 passes for 1,495 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Nebraska needs Toure to be a playmaker with top receiver/running back Wan’Dale Robinson leaving the program after two seasons. Despite having a huge role in the offense, Robinson decided to transfer to Kentucky to finish his college football career.
The Huskers have struggled offensively over the past three seasons. Perhaps Toure can be the spark the team needs to get back to bowl eligibility in 2021.
