LeBron James has dealt with crushing defeat throughout his NBA career.

Falling to the San Antonio Spurs in his first NBA Finals had to be painful. Coming up short against the Dallas Mavericks in his first season in Miami probably was a tough pill to swallow, too. Even last year’s NBA Finals loss to Draymond Green’s Golden State Warriors had to eat at him.

So James should’ve been well-versed in the art of handling defeat when his beloved Buckeyes fell to Green’s Spartans on a last-second field goal.

Besides pride, James had a little wager on the outcome with Green. The loser had to send the winner a couple vases of vino.

On Friday night, it was confirmed that LeBron did indeed live up to his end of the bargain.

The bottles go for a few hundred bucks a pop, which Green can definitely afford. After all, he did sign a five-year, $85 million contract in the offseason to stay in Golden State. He also gave a record $3.1 million gift to his alma mater Michigan State after he agreed to that contract.

Green’s Spartans are facing an us-against-the-world matchup in the College Football Playoff against Alabama, he’s the second-best player on a Warriors team that’s 24-0 and he celebrated two straight victories over James with some top-shelf adult beverages.

Does anybody have it better than Green right now?
