Greg Gard talked about how Wisconsin has been in the free throw shooting department after knocking off No. 13 Maryland. Wisconsin beat Maryland 64-59 in its B1G opener on Tuesday.
At the post game presser Gard did not seem too worried about the recent struggles in free throw shooting for the Badgers. Gard knows that while it can be infectious, the Badgers just need to calm down and they will start to come.
“It does become a little infectious,” said Gard. “I like the fact that we are getting there. We just need to calm down, relax, and knock them down.”

As a team Wisconsin made 63% of its free throws against Maryland. Neither team had success in that area as the Terps only made 58.3% of theirs. Regardless of the struggles, Wisconsin managed to beat Maryland.
The Badgers are 7-2 after the win, but will need to start hitting free throws more consistently down the stretch. Wisconsin hoops will face Iowa Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
