Greg Hudgins III announced Sunday afternoon that he would officially be transferring from Purdue to Charlotte.
Hudgins played 3 seasons at Purdue and will retain 3 seasons of eligibility in Charlotte, using a redshirt year and Covid-19 year to his advantage. He appeared in 2 games for the Boilermakers in 2022, totaling 1 tackle.

Though he did not play much at Purdue, this is a strong addition for Charlotte, who will be adding a former 4/3-star prospect in the Class of 2020. Hudgins, out of Washington DC, was rated as a 4-star by Rivals and a 3-star by On3 and 247Sports.
Hudgins officially entered the transfer portal on Dec. 19, before Purdue’s lopsided Citrus bowl loss to LSU.
