Greg McElroy and Chris “The Bear” Fallica discussed the betting lines ahead for the Minnesota-Nebraska game.
While on McElroy’s podcast, “Always College Football,” on Thursday morning, one of the topics included surrounded this B1G West matchup, which probably will not shock anyone.
The gambling lines for the Minnesota-Nebraska game are at 16 points. McElroy and The Bear are not convinced that either side will put up that many points. McElroy weighed in on who will take the victory:
“Casey Thompson, pending his availability, if he’s unavailable that’s a big issue,” McElroy said. “But Minnesota’s offense laying that many points, I don’t trust that offense at all.”
While, The Bear, on the other hand had much of the same reasoning.
“I would prefer to play the under than lay the 16 with Minnesota,” Fallica said. “It’s a team that scored 37 points against Purdue, a couple weeks ago. I don’t think this team has a win left in the schedule the rest of the way. You hear a little bit of optimism, little bit of hope, (but) it never seemed to transpire for the Huskers.”
So in this week’s Minnesota-Nebraska game, per McElroy and The Bear, it’s best to take the under rather than the over.
Nebraska will host Minnesota at noon ET on Saturday.
