Greg Schiano has somewhat of an answer on Rutgers’ starting quarterback for Boston College. The Scarlet Knights might be giving multiple looks against the Eagles.

Noah Vedral was Rutgers’ starting quarterback last season. The Nebraska native completed 181 of 304 pass attempts for 1,813 yards and 7 touchdowns to 7 interceptions last season.

Vedral failed to throw for over 100 yards or a touchdown over his final five starts. Not exactly a polished look.

To that point, Rutgers amassed 19.7 points per game in 2021. That mark was good for 120th out of 130 teams FBS teams. The Scarlet Knights will need more offense from whoever is under center.

Other listed quarterbacks for Rutgers include Evan Simon and Gavin Wimsatt. Simon is a sophomore out of Pennsylvania and appeared in six games as a freshman. He passed for 145 yards on 16 completions.

Wimsatt is a redshirt freshman and appeared in four games. The Kentucky native completed 9 passes for 45 yards while rushing for an additional 68 yards.

Schiano may be leaving more questions than answers here. Let’s see who Rutgers rolls out first on Saturday.
