Treon Harris will have one less line of defense against Michigan’s stout defense.

The team confirmed an Orlando Sentinel report that starting right tackle Mason Halter and reserve linebacker Anthony Harrell will not play in the Citrus Bowl because of an academic suspension.

Halter was an FCS All-American at Fordham before transferring to Florida in the offseason. He was one of the key pieces that fueled the Gators’ 6-0 start.

Florida averaged just 12 points in its final three games and averaged just 231 yards of offense. Michigan, on the other hand, finished fourth in FBS in yards allowed.

The Citrus Bowl will kick off on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on ABC.
