Everything is going to be a huge secret until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. At least that’s how it seems.
Both Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and Florida’s Jim McElwain spoke to their respective media on Monday to talk about the upcoming week and the B1G-SEC clash in Arlington, Texas.
Despite a few attempts to pry some roster questions out of each coach, neither budged, especially when it came to the quarterback discussion.
Here’s what Harbaugh had to say about Michigan’s quarterback battle between Wilton Speight and John O’Korn heading into this week:
Harbaugh:" Have not heard who Florida has announced as starting qb. would love that information. We are not announcing our starting qb"

A quarterback plan has "been formulated and communicated" for Michigan's opener at Florida. Staying in house for now.

It sounds like Michigan will have one guy run the show, Harbaugh just isn’t planning to announce it until game day.
Down in Gainesville, McElwain had a slightly different approach. He’s standing by the statement he made a week ago, saying that all three quarterbacks – Malik Zaire, Luke Del Rio and Feleipe Franks – might all see the field on Saturday:
Mac dodges more QB questions: "We have a plan. The opponent has nothing to do with it." #Gators

Mac said Michigan will have to prepare for run-option (Zaire) and pocket passer (Franks, LDR). Key will be up front, though.

The press conferences weren’t exactly insightful on Monday, particularly on some of the bigger questions. But the way the offseason has gone, it’s not really surprising that neither coach wants to tip his hand at this point.
We’ll all just have to wait a few more days before all of those important questions are answered.
