When President Barack Obama makes his final State of the Union address on Tuesday, Jim Harbaugh will be watching.

The only difference is that he’ll have a better seat than 99.9 percent of Americans.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Harbaugh and his wife, Sarah, will be guests of U.S. Reps. Justin Amash, R-Cascade Township, and Debbie Dingell, D-Dearborn for the State of the Union address  in Washington D.C. next week.

It will mark the third time since he took over at Michigan that Harbaugh will make a special trip to DC.

He attended the Supreme Court last spring and during the bye week, he and Sarah attended an event to support First Lady Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher Initiative. On that trip, the president actually extended his sympathies to Harbaugh following the crushing Michigan State loss.

There might be a little less time for chitchat next week. Or maybe Harbaugh will discuss his desire to run for president with Wale in 2020.

We can only hope.
