Class is in session in State College.

Monday, Penn State started classes, marking the beginning of a new academic year. Members of the Nittany Lions football team are showing just how enthusiastic they are about getting the semester started, too.

Multiple players from the Penn State football team posted to Twitter on Monday morning, proving to head coach James Franklin three things:

  1. They’re attending class
  2. They’re early
  3. They’re sitting in the front row

That’s starting the semester off on the right foot. Franklin has been known to go around campus and run class checks on players, so it’s a good thing to see them showing their dedication to the classroom:

These guys won’t have any trouble with potential class checks today. That’s a good way to stay on Franklin’s good side.

Penn State is less than two weeks away from its season opener. The Nittany Lions travel to Madison to take on Wisconsin in a Top 25 showdown on Saturday, Sept. 4.
