A talented cornerback out of Philadelphia has narrowed down his list of commitment options to 5 schools. A pair of B1G programs made the cut.
Shawn Battle, a 3-star cornerback in the 2023 recruiting class, has included Nebraska and Penn State among his Top 5 schools. The other 3 he’s still considering include Boston College, Cincinnati and Virginia.
Battle trimmed down his list from 16 offers. He’s ranked as one of the Top 50 cornerbacks in this class and is a Top 500 overall prospect for the cycle.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound defensive back primarily played the cornerback position during the 2021 high school season. However, he also showed some versatility by doing some work in the return game.
Below are some of Battle’s high school highlights:
Nebraska currently has 5 verbal commits from members of the 2023 class, ranking No. 17 nationally and No. 6 in the B1G. Penn State currently leads the conference in the standings and sits No. 5 nationally with 7 pledges.
