Three B1G teams are still in the running for a heavily-recruited defensive tackle out of Detroit.
Monday, highly-rated 3-star defensive lineman Deone Walker released a list of the Top 13 programs he’s still considering for his commitment. In the mix are hometown schools Michigan and Michigan State, as well as fellow B1G East program Penn State.
Outside of the B1G, Walker is still high on 10 other programs: Arkansas, Arizona State, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, Oregon, Pitt and Texas.
Walker has received 28 offers on the recruiting trail.

According to 247Sports, Walker just missed the cut as a potential 4-star prospect, ranking No. 363 overall. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound defensive lineman is listed as the No. 32 defensive tackle in the class and the No. 11 talent out of Michigan.
Penn State currently owns the highest-ranking recruiting class of the 2022 cycle among the three B1G programs still in consideration for Walker’s commitment. With eight verbal commitments, the Nittany Lions rank No. 3 in the conference and No. 7 nationally.
Michigan currently has seven pledges and ranks No. 4 in the B1G and No. 18 nationally while Michigan State has five commitments in the cycle and sits at No. 7 in the league and No. 35 overall.
