Eric Crouch’s support isn’t wavering. The former Heisman Trophy winner and Nebraska legend is still buying into what Scott Frost and the Huskers are trying to build in Lincoln.
There was plenty of hype and excitement to fill the Lincoln air on Saturday, with the 3-1 Huskers hosting the fifth-ranked Buckeyes. College GameDay was in town and it was the first marquee game for Frost’s program. All of the thrill vanished pretty quickly.
Ohio State’s potent offense and fierce defense set the tone early, taking all the energy out of Memorial Stadium. The final result was a 48-7 victory for the Buckeyes, another blowout win over the Huskers.
After the game, Crouch decided to offer his public support of Frost, firing off a tweet late Saturday night.
“I won’t give up on Frost,” Crouch wrote on Twitter. “Love where we’re going, the journey won’t be easy.”
I wont give up on Frost. Love where were going, the journey wont be easy.

Following Nebraska’s loss, Frost said “we are where we are,” saying Nebraska needed to continue to work to build the program. He didn’t want his team to run and hide from who they are or what they are trying to create in Lincoln.
While there was some frustration on the outside after the performance, there’s still a strong belief that Frost is going to have the Huskers heading in the right direction before too long. After all, he took over a program that was floundering before his arrival.
Saturday night was an eye-opener, but it’s hardly time to cast judgement on Frost or the program.
