Herbstreit releases brand new Top 6 following Week 1 in the B1G

The latest ranking from ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit are out after the Big Ten has opened play, with the Ohio State Buckeyes entering the list at #3.

No surprise at the top with Clemson, after following up their 70+ blasting of Georgia Tech with a 26-point victory over Syracuse.

The Buckeyes jumped into the mix with a dominant 52-17 win over Nebraska, while the Irish bounced back from a lackluster 12-7 win over Louisville last week with a 45-3 thrashing of Pitt to make the top-6 this week.

Alabama and Georgia continue to make the grade, while coming in from the Big 12, Oklahoma State enters Herbie’s list at #6 – see Kansas State fans scratching their heads?

1- Clemson Tigers (5-0)

2- Alabama Crimson Tide  (5-0)

3- Ohio State Buckeyes (1-0)

4- Gerogia Bulldogs (3-1)

5- Notre Dame Fighting Irish (5-0)

6- Oklahoma State Cowboys (3-0)

A pair of teams from both the SEC, (Alabama and Georgia) and the ACC (Clemson & ND) made the cut, with the Cowboys bringing the Big 12 to the ranks.
