Everyone fills out an NCAA tournament bracket. Whether it’s electronically through one of the multiple outlets or a friendly family challenge, it’s hard to find someone who passes on the opportunity to fill one out.

This year, there were approximately 17.2 million brackets that were submitted through ESPN alone. We’re not even all the way through the second round yet and there are no perfect brackets remaining. None.

It’s rare that anyone gets through the entire tournament with a perfect bracket, but usually there are a few geniuses — or really good guesses — who last until the Sweet Sixteen or later. Not this year, though.

Purdue’s win over Villanova was the game that eliminated any remaining perfect brackets. The Boilermakers defeated the Wildcats 87-61.

According to the NCAA, only two perfect brackets remain. One of those was filled out on Yahoo! Sports and the other through the NCAA. We’ll see how long those two brackets hold up.
