Here’s what Archie Miller said following Indiana’s season-opening win

Indiana looked good in the season opener against Tennessee Tech.
Unfortunately for the Golden Eagles, they were a bit shorthanded and missing their head coach as he tested positive for COVID-19 days before the season opener. It was good the team still traveled for the game and hung around for a bit in the first half.
It did not take long for the Hoosiers to finally hit a stride and begin to pull away. Unsurprisingly, the big star for Indiana was Trayce Jackson-Davis who put up a game-high 26 points and added 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the new season.
Indiana also received 13 points from freshman Trey Galloway on 6-for-9 shooting his debut. Fellow freshmen Khristian Lander and Jordan Geronimo also scored in their debuts, but Anthony Leal failed to breakthrough in the scoring column.
After the game, head coach Archie Miller discussed the victory and an upcoming contest against Providence. Here’s what he had to say:
Archie Miller on Trey Galloway:
"We want Trey to rebound a little better. But he's definitely one of the best players we have in transition." #iubb

Archie Miller on just getting a chance to play, considering they didn't have a scrimmage:
"We got it out of the way. I'm glad college basketball is up and running." #iubb

Archie Miller on the Maui opener with Providence:
"I know Coach Cooley well and he thinks he has a team that can win the Big East." #iubb

Asked more directly about it, Archie describes the situation as day-by-day. Had been "full blast" in practice recently. With three games in three days, Indiana didn't feel like he needed to play tonight. Could've played if need had been greater. #iubb

Archie says he thinks Indiana is "deficient on the glass right now."
"That's the biggest concern going to Asheville. In that type of field, that's what we're going to be up against, rebounding." #iubb
