Penn State is getting set for a massive showdown this weekend with the No.22 Auburn Tigers.
The Nittany Lions are 2-0 after wins against Wisconsin and Ball State. This weekends’ game is the annual White Out Game for Penn State.
Head coach James Franklin spoke to the media today ahead of the game with the Tigers.
Franklin opened the press conference with sad news about a former Nittany Lion daughter being shot and killed.

James Franklin talked about the play of Auburn QB Bo Nix.
James Franklin says Auburn quarterback Bo Nix “does a lot of things well, he’s athletic, extends plays. I’ve been impressed with him.”

Franklin talked about how much respect he has for coach Bryan Harsin and the Auburn program.

Franklin talked about how big of a weekend this is for recruiting and how special Happy Valley can be.

There have been many rumors suggesting that James Franklin would be a good fit for the now vacant USC job as head coach Clay Helton was let go yesterday afternoon.
Franklin addressed the issue here.

After last week this is no surprise, but James Franklin just said Eric Wilson is Penn State’s starting left guard. Anthony Whigan and Wilson rotated at the start of the Wisconsin game, but Wilson played a majority of the snaps against Ball State.
