The No. 25 Michigan Wolverines are on their 3-0 start to the season for the first time since 2017. Michigan had a dominating performance on the offensive and defensive side of the ball as they defeated Northern Illinois at home 63-10.

There were several highlights to take note of for the Wolverines in this huge win, but the most to take away was their performance in the run game. Michigan rushed the ball 48 times for 373 yards and eight touchdowns. Sophomore running back Blake Corum rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries. True freshman running back Donovan Edwards had a breakout game by rushing for 86 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.

The Wolverines outscored the Huskies 14-3 in the first quarter before scoring 21 more points in the second quarter. Michigan did not let up after halftime as they scored 28 points in the third quarter. The Wolverines outgained the Huskies in total yards accounted for 6o6-to-208 yards and first downs accounted for 28-to-11.

Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh is feeling good about his team’s progress so far this season and this performance against Northern Illinois. Harbaugh had a lot to say about his team after the dominating win.
